It has been 5 years since JP Cima, an LCMS missionary in Cambodia that we as a church support, has been to St. John… and a lot has changed, both for us and for him: Covid 19, quarantine, a new fellowship hall, a move from Vietnam to Cambodia, and more.
As JP returns to Colorado, the council has planned a couple of events to welcome him back…
First, we will host a Missionary / Memorial Day / Pentecost BBQ on Saturday May 27th at Noon. We will enjoy good food, good fellowship, good friends, and a presentation about what the Cima family has been up to since we saw him last.
Second, on Sunday May 28th JP will preach for our service and then host a brief presentation with Q&A during the Sunday School hour.
I know it is Memorial Day weekend, school is out, and many will begin their summer travels – but this special event only happens once every 5 years… or so. Please mark your calendars and make every effort to hear what the Lord is doing around the world.
